CSRA also adheres to the Code of Professional Ethics and Standards formulated by the American Association of Public Opinion Researchers. Clients can be reassured that the survey findings are complete, accurate, and non-biased.

CSRA has a long history of public opinion research. In the 1940s, Elmo Roper, an early public opinion researcher, helped create the Roper Center for Public Opinion Research on the UConn campus. The Roper Center grew to be the largest archive of public opinion data in the world. In the mid-1990s, CSRA was spun off from the Roper Center in an effort to maximize efficiency. The Roper Center continues to maintain an archive while CSRA conducts original survey research.

CSRA staff not only conducts survey research, they also teach it. CSRA is integral to the Master's Degree in Survey Research offered by UConn. As a result, staff stays current with research techniques and findings in the public opinion research industry. Although several graduate students work part time at CSRA and assist project managers, professional, seasoned staff manages every research project.

CSRA is a full-service research facility. CSRA staff designs the research project, pulls the appropriate sample, programs the CATI computer system, interviews the respondents, statistically analyzes the data, compiles a report, and presents the data to the client.
